There no death on FreeBMD that would tie with the age

Maybe she went back to Ireland and the child died there

Hi folks,
Witnesses were a couple of random people by the looks of it. Father William and is listed as Irish and a plasterer. Grandfather remarried, had to wait 7 years till this marriage was deemed a non starter. I think the child was about 2 or 3 when he died.
Thanks :-D

Take a look on Freebmd to see if there is a child's death up to say 1940 that would fit with his, birth year

As George is your grandfather he must have remarried . Have you looked for a divorce ? Try the National Archive site for it

My grandfather George Hill married Kathleen Ksvanagh in 1925 in London, due to the fact that he was in the cold stream guards. They had a child William George Hill. They. Moved back up to elsecar near Barnsley his home town. One day he came home from the pit to find her gone. She sent s letter a while later to say that there child had died. I don't know what happened to her. Her father is listed as a plasterer on the wedding certificate and both from Ireland. I wonder if she went back to London and this is where their son died. So not sure.

Thanks :-D
