I did know Harry had died ,he was a first cousin of my mothers , but wanted to find out a bit more about the family you have helped a lot x

SMITH, HARRY S.; of Imlay City, formerly of Waterford; passed away August 25, 2013; at 89 years of age. Harry was a devoted husband of 55 years and wonderful father. Veteran U.S. Navy W.W.II, U.S.S. Iowa, he retired from GM. He was a member of U.S.S. Navy Cruisers Association, Valley of Detroit 32 Degree Mason and Cedar Lodge #60 Clarkston, North Oakland Shrine, Scottish Rite, VFW, and Elks Lodge #810. He is survived by son James (Denise) Smith of Columbiaville. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; his parents, Robert and Daisy (nee Watts); and sister, Phyllis Shampine. Per his request he was cremated and a Private Service for him and his wife will be held at a later date at Crescent Hills Cemetery, Waterford.
