I think you will need the birth cert to see if you can then make a connection ( mother or father) to Mrs Brice Miller.

mary brice miller -Nee Walker b Charlton.Appointed Guardian to my
Grandfather Henry Townsend b 1889 Newport. (see 1901 Census sussex).
Her death recorded 1922 registered by her Brother Horace Walker GP

Info shown on Xavarian Brothers Records re Mayfield UK 1900 obtained
from University of Notre Dame Indiana. (All Xavarian Uk education records now held there.) Mary Brice Miller address shown as Queens Gate Gardens.
This Guardianship leaves me to believe that Henry was an Orphan but so far been unable to trace a death record for his father (my gt grandfather) also
a Henry born 1957 Puriton nr Bridgewater Somerset.

many thanks all. Henrys Parents were Henry b1856 and Mary Nolan b1857 , His father ran a pub in Lantarnum)Cwmbran} The railway Inn which so family recall was said to have burnt down leaving himself and other siblings 5 in all as orphans. In 1881 we see the children living with Grandparents Nolan and also John and Mary Neale.in `Cwmbran.
Grandfather Nolan was a Blacksmith, All of Henrys siblings bar one Frederick were places in religious schools .John and William in west sussex and Henry and Mary in East sussex, Frederick remained with his `uncle in Cwmbran working as a miner underground. and I believe eventually married a Hanbury.
