Thanks to those who provided information, I have now managed to trace Sarah on 1891 & 1901 census to her death in 1902, thus solving an area that has been frustrating me for quite a while! |

Safc, thanks for the additional detail, the age of the groom sheds some light on why Sarah was a little economical with the truth about her age. |

Thelma, I think you have just found the key to unlock this particular door. The ancestry tree you refer to is mine. The marriage you have found didn't come up on any of my searches, not sure why as I did cast my net wider than Lincolnshire. Looks like Sarah was a little coy about her age. Although the marriage is outside Lincolnshire, it does make sense as one of her daughters migrated to that area. Many thanks for unearthing this info. |

I cannot trace my 3xGGrandmother beyond the 1881 census when she was residing at Great Ponton Lincolnshire with husband Henry Perkins. Henry died later in 1881. I cannot find a death for her, or any trace on later census data. I have considered that she might have remarried, but although there is a marriage regn at Grantham in 1883, this is that of a younger relative of the same name. Sarah Ann was born in abt 1822 @ Pilsgate, which is sometimes shown as Lincolnshire, sometimes as Northants, as it falls into Barnack parish which is in Northants, whilst Pilsgate is in Lincolnshire. |
