Both William and Mary are who I am trying to find a marriage for, they were both born in Scotland, emigrated to Canada at some point, married and returned to Scotland at a later date

Just found a passenger list for them returning to Scotland in 1934, so they were married before that, I just don't know when they emigrated and married. Their son was born in Scotland in 1936

John, I assume the 2 names at the bottom of your posting have no relevance - as they are in a tree on Ancestry and appear to be Scottish. No marriage shown though, so is that the issue?

Yeah, they came back to Scotland, I remember going to visit Mary when I was younger

Is it William Hunter Garrett & Mary Scott Craig's marriage that you're looking for? A tree on Ancestry says that they lived and died in Scotland.

I was just wondering if someone knew the time scale for searching Canadian Marriage records, I have been trying to track the marriage of my gran's cousin and I spoke to her son before Christmas but he informed me that they married in Canada but I have been unable to find anything about it and I can't get in contact with the son again.

Any ideas?

William Hunter Garrett (Clappeton) married Mary Scott Craig
