Chris, thanks for that. I'll have a play around with the 2 sets of parents to see if I can come up with any potential siblings for him.

Seax has the registers on line (a subscription site).

There is no baptism for an Eliezer or Eleazar, or anything similar, in the Wickham St Paul baptism registers between 1793 and 1799. There is a note made in the register itself that baptisms for the years 1794 and 1795 were in a new register that was 'lost' so he may have been in there.

There were two 'Walford' couples baptising children around that time at Wickham St Paul.
James and Elizabeth
John and Mary.

Thank you for the reply Ann. No that's not him. I have him and his wife & children in all censuses in Twinstead to his death in 1870 in Twinstead (he was buried there).
Then I have the wife and children & descendants until their deaths.
It's his ancestry I'm puzzled about!

Hi, wondering if anyone can kindly help?

I am looking for the baptism of Eliezer or Eleazar WALFORD. Census returns tell me he was born abt 1796 in Wickham St Paul, Essex.
He married Sarah TURNER in 1822 in Wickham St Paul and died in April 1870 in Twinstead, Essex.
I have him and his descendants well documented, just keen to find his parents.

Thanks
