Maybe W Aus electoral rolls will show if/when/where they were all living together?

The 'WA State Library' has an 'Ask a Librarian' service. They will check electoral rolls -past & present. They may also check newspaper death notice/s which may reveal any family links.

I noticed Mary E Broderick's grave (HA 0019) (d1948 age 65yrs Inglewood) at Karrakatta shows 'Grantee' being James Leahey.

Thank you for your help.
LEAHEY's birth date 1909 is only approx ... I took it from the following,
I took date of birth from the following ... c1909
1911 England Census
Fremantle, Western Australia, Passenger Lists, 1897-1963
STEWART could have been Ellen's maiden name ..
and Edith and Ellen did come out to Australia as 15 & 16 year olds ... leads me to think I have the right family.
;-)

This fits with the birth

1911 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription
Glebe Row Bedlington, Bedlington, Northumberland, England

First name(s) Last name Relationship to household head Marital condition Gender Age Birth year Birth place Occupation
Joseph Stewart Head Married Male 24 1887 Northumberland Bedlington Coal Miner Hewer Transcription
Jane Stewart Wife Married Female 22 1889 Northumberland Bedlington - Transcription
Margaret Ann Stewart Daughter - Female 3 1908 Northumberland Bedlington - Transcription
James Stewart Son - Male 1 1910 Northumberland Bedlington - Transcription

The Leahey children (?twins?) on 1911 census would have been born at least a year earlier, if their ages were accurate

Hi Catherine

Could young James have been born before Ellen married, if she married James at all?

Births Jun 1909
Stewart James Morpeth 10b 480

There is a birth in 1911 for Ellen LEAHEY (Morpeth) mothers maiden name STEWART

On the 1911 census posted above, it states Ellen was born in Scotland, Stewart being a Scottish name has led me to think this is a possibility

He migrated in March 1929, aged 20, so his birth could have been 1908

Tracing James LEAHEY .. born 1909 Newbiggin By The Sea .. died Western Australia 1983. I believe his Father's name also James and his Mother Ellen.
He came to Australia 1929 same ship as "Mary Elizabeth BRODERICK and her brother Emmanuel BRODERICK.
The 3 of them knew each other and lived in same town. .. Mary left her house to LEAHEY .. brickwall as to their connection.
After Mary's death LEAHEY married aged 52.

Cathy
