One possible scenario. They would only have been married a few months but lived together previously

Your Charlotte b. 1858 would be daughter of Hannah Kirk and Isaac Carlin, born illegitimate though they were living as man and wife

I know BeverleyW but on the 1871/81 and 1891 census' the wife is Emma. The strange thing about it is both Hannah and Emma both come from Dronfield. Confused.com

Andy I got the original info from relatives so followed the census records

Where did mothers maiden name come from?

It could well be as Dronfield is near Sheffield. Could Charlotte be under Carnell I wonder? The only other marriage I got was Isaac Carlin marrying ?? in 1863 Basford Nottingham which would be after Charlotte and her brother Isaac were born which leads me to think that's the wrong one.

Hi I'm trying to find a birth record for Charlotte Carlin born in Dronfield abt 1858. Parents are possibly Isaac Carlin and Emma nee Cartwright as per 1861 census. Not sure if Charlotte was from a previous marriage on either side. Any help appreciated.
