What was his wife's given name?

I don't imagine she was registered as Flossie

When were the children born?

Have you looked for them anywhere?

Where were they living last time you had contact?

Were they all still living with their parents?

Hi there
Thank you for your reply. Just to clarify a few things from my initial enquiry
Firstly Pat was Patricia.
Michael , Patricia and Jean were all older than me in that order.
From what I can remember Jean was probably at least five years older than me.
Tina was about seven years younger and I have never met her.
My uncle always lived west of London, I believe in the vicinity of Ealing and Ruislip.
I presume Flossie would have been Florence but not sure where she hailed from.
My mother Kathleen was born 31/08/1907 out of wedlock and took her mothers name Coleman.
Her mother Sarah Coleman married Arthur Edward Williams just two months later on 11/10/1907.
I hope this helps and Thank you again
Kind Regards

If that was Kathleen in 1911, where was Albert, who was supposedly born in 1909?

Norman

Norman Report 25 Feb 2015 21:26

Hi Jacqueline
Thank you for your help
According to the 1911 census Albert aged 2 was a patient
at Islington infirmary, 77A Highgate Hill, Islington and on the census it states he was born in Marylebone.
This is the only reference I can find that fits together with him not being at Webber Road when the census was taken.
Best wishes

Hi Mike
I am intrigued with this photo.
Are you saying this is my mother?
It certainly could be her although I have never seen her so young in a photo.

My mother was working in Marble Arch during the Blitz and on this particular
night had to spend the night in Marble Arch Underground station because of an air raid.
In the morning she walked back to her flat in near Westbourne Grove, Bayswater only to find the building had been bombed.

She lost everything including photos of her when she was young.
She did have very few photos of herself before that time and I can only assume that her brother Albert had given her those.

So Mike, who are you to claim to have a photo of my mother?
It would be wonderful if it was her.
Best wishes

Hi Everyone
Thank you so much for your help.
I have made contact with my cousin Patricia who lives in Ruislip and spent most of the day last week with her and her husband exchanging photos and finding out about my other cousins and my uncle Albert and aunt Flossey.
I have not seen Patricia since 1966 when I got married. We will now stay in touch.
My cousin Jean died at the age of 56.
My other cousins are both living in Worthing although Michael is very ill.
I will be contacting Julie (not Tina) very soon, via Patricia.
Thanks again
Norman :-)
