Ernest Hartill 1936-2010 Southport

The above man is related to me through my great grandmothers mother.

I have found through an obituary in the paper he was married to Pat, and had the following children... Denise, Debbie, Steven. I have been unable to determine which Pat he is connected to as I have found two but no birth connection to Basil..

Thanks

Who is Basil?

Mark

Mark Report 21 Feb 2015 15:13

I believe he may be a son on reading the obit...

ah right, well I am guessing that the marriage in 1958 Southport is the one? Spouse Patricia is listed under two surnames so probably married previously.

There is a Steven T. Hartill with mmn Wilson, but can't see a birth for Denise and Debbie?

Who is Basil?

Rambling Rose asked same question I answered - believe he may be a son on reading the obit...

Mark I have only checked one marriage so far, but I think at least one of those named 'children' in the obit ( which I have looked at) is actually Ernest's daughter-in law rather than his own child.

I can't find the obit but found a first anniversary memorial with no mention of Basil.

I know that this sounds a bit stupid but could "Basil" be a family pet?

Mark

Mark Report 21 Feb 2015 15:28

;) I never thought of that people do include family pets. not a stupid suggestion at all - Thanks

I think getting the marriage cert for Ernest and Patricia would be a good idea, some of the children named may be hers ( or his?) from a previous marriage?

Mark

Mark Report 21 Feb 2015 15:31

I have just made contact with a family member so I shall wait a while and if no reply get the cert... Many thanks
