In both Irelands, and in Scotland pre-1915, there is a cheaper option than buying a b.cert, (i.e., a certified copy of an entry in a register) and that is to buy an uncertified image of the entry in the register - I think for Ireland it saves you 4 euros. |

There is a marriage for Margaret Sheila Branigan, so I don't think she is your Margaret. |

Hi Potty, the child name was James Branigan, I don't know when he was born and the vicar only gave is baptism dates, but he said they usually get baptised a day or two after being born. |

What was the name of the child baptised in July 1915 and when was he/she born? |

Thanks for your help Mgnv. I had a look at those extra pages and have been able to confirm that my ancestors rented the properties that they lived in. |

rootgather - To be more accurate, I know English/Welsh RDs were based on poor-law unions. I don't *know* this for Ireland, just guess it, but whenever I've used the Irish 1901/11 poor-law union as an RD for looking up (timewise) nearby BMD events for a family, it's worked. However, I shouldn't have stated it as fact, although I believe it is the fact. |

Thank you Mgnv. I never knew that and for all I have many census records for my Irish ancestors, I never looked beyond the actual image. I am off to do that now. You learn something new every day. I only found out recently the the house numbers on the Irish census are not street numbers and that they actually relate to the order the enumerator used for distribution. |

rootgather - on your 1911 lookup, you posted a partial transcription of the Form A image - other images are available, viz: |

I don't think it's this one, as they already have a child Baptised on the 1 july 1915. |
