Phyllis was born in Durban, SA in 1928. She was the 6th child of Charles and Florence Bean. She had to return to the UK in 1954 and came to stay with my Grandmother in Kent........heavily pregnant! She went on to have the baby which was a girl, born in Feb 1955...Sarojini. The baby was adopted because it was the result of a union between Phyllis and a black man...they married illegally in SA. I know Phyllis went on to commit suicide but I just cannot find any record of her death anywhere.......any help would be much appreciated. She was staying somewhere in Kent,...Belvedere I think. But kent is the most likely area she would have been. |
