Hello All.. Many thanks to all the responded to my query, re Mary Josephine Beckett.
Not quiet sure how to manoeuvre around this site... so hope you get my reply.

Will look into everything, something to go by..Have the NZ marriage cert.says she was a Spinister aged 29yrs. . Know Arthur D Porter remarried in 1940.she was on the Electoral roll in 1935.. Joyce. :-)

Any details for Father on Marriage Cert. Joyce?...

29 in 1931, so unless she lied, she wasn't born in 1899

What was the actual date of the marriage?

Think there might be a few little "white lies" here .Marr cert says

15th June 1931. she was a Weaver.. from Preston Eng. Father a Labourer. Thomas Beckett. mother Hellen Beckett nee Porter.

Trouble is though Arthur David Porter.. husband was only 22yrs of age. that would make him being born in 1909.(Still older than her .) :-(

Sorry Younger than her.. :-(

So the 1899 birth is her as her parents names fit although mum was Ellen not Helen

Seems she wanted not to appear so much older than her hubby
