i'm researching my ancestor william thomas dudley b sheerness 1812
m elizabeth frances hicks 1839, father thomas dudley
i found 2 baptisms on fs for a sarah elizabeth1817 and thomas 1820 at the white chapel wesleyan chapel sheerness kent parents thomas and mary dudley
i also looked in the kent archives for williams baptism with no luck
i also havent found a marriage for thomas other than mary beavan 1822 st george the martyr
southwark grateful for any help thanks

thanks for info i have copys of marriage of william and elizabeth and richard and hannah wicks(hicks) great you found 1841c with them together wil get copy of original thanks
i found rootschat post regarding 1861 census and an old post on here about thomas
dudley 1787 edinburgh castle and mary beavan born gillingham a there was a garrison
there possible military link with gillingham (brompton) sheerness .
so looks very possible thats the right thomas also marriage was 1822 and i havent found another marriage for thomas before that so as you say william and sarah may be illegitimate al though i have found a copy of thomas baptism 1820
