it is interesting to note that in fact Duncan filled out his own census form, and that the transcribers have counted his form with the Allens!

He is lodging with the Allens, but seems to be treated as a separate household!

He says he has 1 room

The Allens say the house has 5 rooms


Herbert Allen is also a Stone Mason ................. hence probably why he is staying there.
