Does anyone have a relative that was in this "home" between 1937-42. Hoping to find some connection to my dad Maurice Cannings |

Do you mean you are looking for siblings for your Dad please? |

Not siblings, he had at some time been living with his grandparents (his mother was unmarried). I don't why he left them and wondered maybe whether he went there with some of their children. Perhaps they hit hard times and could not look after him/them anymore. |

It looks as if some of their records are held in an Archives - it might be worth contacting them and asking for a search for other family members |

Susan - its best if you add to one of your existing threads rather than create a new one. That way all the information you have about the same person is kept in one place :-) |

Susan, it may not help but if you get the death certs of the grandparents, date and cause of death might give you a clue as to whether there might have been an illness which prevented them from being able to care for the child? |

Dates for deaths of grandparents 1938 and 1955 doesn't really help any. As my dad was in a home way before either of these dates. |
