I have standard membership and havent paid to put things in keepsafe .as far as I can remember.

Just gone to take a look and gone straight into them with no problems

The photo's I have uploaded from my PC to 'Keepsafe' are fine, but records I purchased when I rec' 50 free credits are all coming up that I need to pay more credits to view, they are largely from British newspaper archive and British Army Service Records 1760-1915.

Got a feeling if you uploaded them from genes they are only viewable for a set time after which they are time expired and you have to pay again

Think I saw this one time on another similar enquiry

someone else may say or nay to this :-S

Just noticed this, while I was looking at the 'credits' page

"Automatically top up your credits"

I did not at any time tick this in the affirmative...and yet there it was ticked :-|

Shirley~ is quite correct ........................

records that you have looked at on GR using credits are only available for a very short period of time, then you have to use more credits to look at therm again

Moral of this story .......................

download or copy all such records to your own computer!!

GR is not alone in doing this sort of thing, by the way!!

Yes this happened when I first joined ancestry...all my censuses disappeared when I let the subscription lapse :-(

Records purchased with credits are only accessible for 90 days from the date the credits were paid for.
When you find and save them using a Platinum sub, if that lapses, so does the ability to view those records.

As Jude says, Ancestry have the same policy.

Another moral.....read the T&C's of any site to which you subscribe.

They are there for your information, and you can't blame the site owners for perceived problems if you fail to read them
