William

for future reference ...............

please do NOT use the "tick as answered" tab.

All it does is show that the question in the Opening Post has been completely answered, and there is no need for anyone else to look at the thread

this is very obviously NOT the case here

Unfortunately, a quirk in the system means that once "ticked" it cannot be "unticked

Thank you every one for your help another family member has suggested that there was some possibility she was born to her older sister but brought up by grandparents as theirs on he parish church marriage certificate fathers surname is clearly written as Limmes the only Limmes I can find seemed to also go by the name Timmis and seems to move around Middlesex , Staffordshire ,Norfolk , Chester, and his wife was born in Hereford at 33 he is listed as retired Metal Dealer its possible he was there as there were quite a lot lead mines around mid wales, both names seem quite uncommon I find it amazing how much people moved around I have family members who travelled between North Devon and London, Derbyshire , Mid Wales and London

I would say that the residence is the same as that on the 1881 census as posted above.
John Thomas of Lluestgerig was a farmer.
I wonder if there are transcriptions available of the marriages of any of Hannah's siblings to compare the father's name.

alviegal Report 24 Jan 2015 20:32

Looking at the image, her name is Thomas but her father is John Limms or Linus or something like that. He was a farmer and Hannah's residence was Lluestcerrig??? Farm.
Samuel and Martha Thomas were witnesses.

She was clearly born a 'Thomas' - whether or not John and Ann(e) were her parents or her grandparents, a copy of her birth cert should confirm:

Hannah Thomas

I too think that Limmes must be a mistranscription.
