Now, Julie, using the info above, you should be able to research quite a lot yourself.

Use freebmd to find out the surnames of the mothers

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

and familysearch to find all the parents with their families in 1871 and/or 1881, which are in full on the site.

https://familysearch.org/

If you need further help, just ask, but remember that we need more detail than you gave in your original post on this thread.

It was sheer luck that info was found

Hi Julie, you've posted before so maybe you've noticed ... or maybe it was a long time ago when not many people gave replies to posts

nobody can even begin to help you without names, dates and places

if you click on 'Find Ancestors' you will see several messages up at the top about how to ask for and get help from other members that should help you :-)

also just read a few other people's question threads to see what kind of help you can get if you do offer the information you have about the people you're looking for

and of course use the search function to see whether anyone else has the people you're looking for in their trees

hover your mouse over 'Search' in the upper right
click on 'Search All Member Trees'
put in the details of the person you are looking for
if they appear in someone's tree, click the button beside their name to contact them
