Help please in finding names of parents of Jabez Lodge b.1813 in Holbeck/Hunslet, Leeds. Married Ann Hartley in 1831 Leeds Parish Church. This is not the same Jabez as the one who was christened at Woodkirk Church and whose parents were George and Hannah Lodge.
Thanks, Paul and Penny

Do you have info that the one christened at Woodkirk died before 1841?

If not, please say why you think it is a different person?

As someone has already said, there is only one of that name and birth year on censuses

Been asked to post responses on here. All the info kindly provided above was stuff we had already found. The Jabez christened at Woodkirk wasn't ours as ours was born in Hunslert/Holbeck, lived all his life in Leeds and is buried in Beckett St. Cemetery in Leeds. The other one was on the 1991 census as a lodger and although he was the same age, was a retired engineer and a widower, he stated he was born in Ardsley. The only George and Hannah Lodge that we found who could have been his parents were married in Wakefield Cathedral and Woodkirk Church respectively so are unlikely to be his. Future replies will be posted on this thread.

Regards,

Paul and Penny
