Strange as I can't find anyone with the Trainor name at all in the entire county.

Very annoying :(

Would say it because he may be known as either surname as his parents have used both names
It's just a cross ref to both surname by the look of it as its only the one baptism

I was trying a bit of detective work to find the Baptism of a Palmer ancestor and going through the baptism records I find two entries for the same person.. now I am confused ! The first entry has John Palmer baptised 7th Feb 1773, Parents noted as John and Margot Palmer... The notes have Trainor Alias Palmer.

Then I found ... John Trainor baptised 7th Feb 1773 parents John and Margott Trainor.. notes Palmer alias Trainor...

Does anyone know what would be the reason for this please.
