Grrrrr, he cropped up once, then I couldn't find him again so just placed him on tree generally. Tonight I found, I believe, his birth then internet disconnected....I have gone back and it's telling me nothing found!! this has happened a couple of times. Does anyone know why or can you help.

You may only be able to find a baptism for him. They did'nt issue birth certs before 1837.

There is an Alfred Tully with wife Mary C but they are not in Devon, they were born in Middx.

Thank you Jacqueline, yes I have looked at those sites and also found a link that took me to my Grandfathers POW records. All interesting stuff. I'm learning as I go but will be easier when GR resolve my site issues.
