Hello everyone

I was wondering if someone could help me please??
I am looking for my husbands great nan Harriett l baker she was born I believe about 1882 in Kent.
She married a man surname Thomas and had one daughter I know of called alice Harriet thomas born 1908 in Plumstead area (husbands nan).

She was also known as fanny (we don't know why but they say that there is a pub named after her in welling Kent called fanny on the hill??)


If anybody can help me find any info on her i would be very greatful thank you

Have you looked on FreeBMD for their marriage

I did look but I can't see who she married it only says she married in 1901 in woolwich

Or there's another Harriet baker that married in Greenwich in 1909 but again I can't see who she married..

I'm not sure to be honest because all I really know for definite is her daughter Alice Harriet Thomas was born in woolwich in 1908.

So maybe I should try and find more info on her first then try looking for her parents and go from there?

Depending on the date of the birth the ages could differ by a year because it's the age at the last birthday at the time the census was taken

Update

Thank you Shirley for all your hard work earlier , I have still been trying to find more info on Harriet and the birth you found for Harriet Jane baker seems to def be her, I found a list on deceased online which has Harriet Jane Thomas died 3 July 1966 buried in plumstead cemetry ( which we know to be correct).

So know I have a def name to work on thank you so so much
