Was born as FAGG in MInster area of Kent in 1872 For some reason (can find no marriage) changed her nae to CHIDWICK at sometime before marrying a PEGDEN in 1899. Any information about her, family and name change reasons gratefully received.

Why start a new thread 4 minutes after the previous one?

Edit: This would have been so easy to solve yourself using FreeBMD, Parents married 1874, mother's maiden name Fagg. Georgina Mary Fagg born 1872. Ergo, Georgina Mary born before marriage and took stepfather's name. (Or possibly stepfather was her biological father)

She was illegitimate, so you have virtually no chance of finding out her father's true identity.

She obviously accepted her mother's husband as her 'father'
