Now that you know Mary's maiden name, you should be able to find the marriage on freebmd

If you order a copy of the cert from the GRO, it will give you details of both of their fathers

You may be able to find Charles with family in 1881, if you look at the free familysearch site, where you can also find the full 1871 census

Pinpointing the right Mary Evans would be extremely difficult without knowing her father's name

I have only just started trying to do a family tree, believe it or not I am already stuck trying to find my Dads family.
There were three brothers, Tudor, Arthur and Austin, and a sister, Iris. Their Father was Charles, and Mother was Mary Jane.
The family home was Mountai Ash. Glamorgan. Can anyone help, Please?
