Is anyone researching the Topp family who were living in Paddington at the time of WW1. I'm particularly interested in John Frederick Topp who was killed in action in 1918. He was my grandmother Elizabeth Ann's brother and she named my father after him. |

Yes, it's F J Topp. I know he was in the medical corps and I've visited his grave at the Hooge Crater Cemetery. I'm interested to know if he was a stretcher bearer as I'm sure we had nothing as grand as a doctor in the family. This is the first time I've posted here so apologies in advance if I'm not doing it properly. |

He was a Private so I would imagine he was a stretcher bearer or driver, not a doctor. |
