Hi, i am looking for a birth of a male child to parents Leslie Herbert Murdoch and Joyce Ann Murdoch 1941-45. His name may be Leslie. Have search NZ BDM and is not within their criteria

You could order the fathers death certificate to find the info you want. I believe it will give you the childrens names and ages

Australian birth certificates do but NZ ones are different and have little info on the children apart from the ages and sex. This may also be a child born out of marriage and the informant not aware of it too, so had long been a person looked for with no results. Thank you for your suggestion though.

Hi Heather
The 'National Library of NZ' (Auckland) (on-line) has an 'Ask Us' librarian service. They will check any newspaper death notice/s if given dates (i.e. 24.8.1921) -also check electoral rolls too -past & present.

I've looked at several ER and can't see Leslie with a wife of the name Joyce Ann

He appears with an Elizabeth May Murdoch, maybe he's a different Leslie

Do you know his wife's maiden name and when/where she was born/married?
