I have learnt their was a second wedding or blessing between iris and Thomas due to a change in religion on iris's behalf

You really need to buy Thomas's b.cert to make any progress. You can apply via:
http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx

A legal certified copy of the GRO(I) register costs €20.
An (uncertified) image of the GRO(I) register costs €4.

If you pay by credit card, then the card company will take care of the currency exchange and bill you in your usual currency.

NB It's no longer called GRO(I), but I forget what it's called now.

As his mother appears to be unmarried when his birth was listed it's difficult to tell if there are any full siblings. (ordering his birth certificate may provide a little more info on his mother). Do you know who his mother later married?

grandad was born in Dublin oconnell street, his real name is thomas bishop but also had a half brother who was called thomas bishop so they called him john second name is France's. That is a far as I know, he also had a brother called Peter as far as I know his mum was called Mary but remarried


Thomas/john born 2nd quarter 1934 in oconnel street, who went on to marry iris j wakey in hackney in 1958 where they had 4 daughter that we know of.

any help would be grately appreciated
