Haven't found him on the 1891 census but he his on the 1901 and 1911.

thanks gritty and rootgather ,I never thought id find maria's father as its not on her marriage cert. its only added a bit more intrigue wonder if ada was warned away from him because hed been in trouble (he would have been released about the time maria was born) guess i'll never know

Rootgather- it does appear to be the same person- he's listed on the bastardy orders as a milk dealer.

Leeds Times - Saturday 11 August 1888

WAKEFIELD:
MILKMAN CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AND EMBEZZLEMENT

"...Edward Fisk described as a milkman, residing in Alverthorpe Road..."

He pleaded guilty to the burglary and was sentenced in December 1888 to six months with hard labour.

could someone please look up the 2 records for ada booth against Edward fisk the first one 13 jan 1890 court place wakefield the 2nd one 17 nov 1890 wakefield the 2nd one is also in her married name of Dobson thanks in advance to anyone that can help
