Hi can anyone help me I know my 2x Great Gran Elizabeth Cook born c1852 was admitted to Rainhill Asylum Lancashire in 1892 and never came out she died in 1922, I always thought she may have been in before 1892
Her first child born 1872 burnt to death so I can see why she would have gone out of her mind..the second child was brought up by in laws so maybe they did not trust her,could someone look at these registers as there is a Elizth Cook in Lancashire I can see one c 1883-1889, which might be her she was born in Liverpool or Staffordshire census info is various and as the years go by she has unknown and England as her birth place..her husband was Archibald Cook.
