The marriage in Scotland (on Scotlandspeople) 1916 was for James Woods Kilpatrick to a Martha.

I do have his father's name as Alexander & his mother's name Janet but I can't swear to that . I only found out this morning ( my time ) about the first marriage .

Not sure what happened, but I posted that birth, and from Lancashire bmd it gives the mmn of Sterling.

He's still single on 1911 census, his father is from Renfrewshire, so a possible Scottish connection. Not seeing a marriage for him England/Wales. His marriage to Annie gives his father's name as Alexander.

Could he have married in Scotland? Possible marriage entry in 1916.

In 1929 James married Annie Oldfield , the Banns say that James Woods Kilpatrick was a Widower ages 40 Annie had not married before. This Marriage was in Lancashire .
