Have just discovered your post from 2 years ago. Sarah Ramshall (Edith's sister) was my grandmother. I knew Leonard well as I wrote to him for many years. He was a teacher and had 5 sons.

Looks like someone got his DOB wrong?

Traveller in that context almost certainly does not mean what I suspect you think

It means one who travelled as a representative of a company.....................sales rep in today's parlance

The word 'traveller' in use now is a modern version of what would in past years have been gipsy

Do you have him and mother Edith on 1911 - staying with his uncle/aunt Charles & Maud Hastings?
