Thank yo for looking on line maybe I should change the title of this thread asking if any one is going to Northampton Archives instead.

The Hitchcock's had a way of changing names especially the illegitimate children and there was a few, Isaac being one of three sons all illegitimate,

Those records do not appear to be on line - you will need either to visit the Records office, or purchase a copy cert.

If he named a father, it would probably have been one with the same surname, if he was trying to cover his illegitimacy, and therefore a fabrication

I'm curious as to how you know the exact date and location without having seen a copy cert............

So he married in Kettering, not in Nottinghamshire?

Hi All,

If any kind person is going to Northampton Archives could they please if have time have a look at St Peter & St Paul's Church for the marriage of Isaac Hitchcock and Rose Barnes on 24 Dec 1896, would like to know who he put down as father if any as he was the illegitimate son of Emma Hitchcock and who witnesses were please.
He was born in 1874 in Nottingham.

Thank you for any help given on this.
