Fetlar13 Report 26 Nov 2014 07:29

I wonder if some kind soul could help me track down the birth record of my Great Uncle? His name was William Hughson Jamieson, he was born in 1908. His father was George Jamieson (Ships Master) and Barbara Jamieson nee Hughson. His parents are both from the Shetland Isles.

I am after William's actual date and place of birth. His elder brother James Edward (my Grandfather) was born at 32, Henderson Street, Leith, Midlothian in 1904.

The puzzle is, was William also born in Leith or was it on one of the Shetland Isles, either Fetlar or Unst?

Thanks in advance

Steve
