I am trying to find out about my back ground and my roots. It has taken some years to make this decision. I was born in Lincoln 1957 and my name then was Jessica Frances Hill. I am now happily married with a daughter and my name is now Trudie Wilson,

Are you sure of the birth name as there's no record of a birth

There is a Joanne F Hill record that would fit

It should show on FreeBMD

There was a Joanne F Hill born in 1957 in Lincoln - same initials.

Cannot see any other births with same mother's maiden name in Lincoln, but others in Barnstaple.

Trudie has Joanne Frances Hill, 1957, no place of birth specified, in her tree on here.

Trudie also has David Hill, 1945, in her tree, no birthplace specified.

There is a David Hill born in Lincoln in 1945, to what looks like an unmarried Mother, so not him.

So is David your dads son by a previous marriage ? If so do you have a surname of his mum

I have the birth certificate
My mother's maiden name was Handford (Jessica) ? date of birth
Her married surname was Hill
My father and David's father are not the same

So was he reg as Hill or Handford?

Does your cert give his name ? or is it that Mr Hill is Davids dad?

Theres no birth for a David Hill with mothers maiden name as Handford


How did you find his name ? do you have your actual adoption file as that would give more details of Jessica.
