Hello I. Was hoping someone might be able to help me,
I have been tracing my tree for a while now and contacted another person with a possible match only to be really confused by his reply.
It was as follows

My match was
Thomas vial b 1795 Essex married to Elizabeth smee their children were all born in Essex and were
Elizabeth vial b1819,,
Sarah vial b1820,,
Thomas vial b1821,,
Joseph vial b1826,,
Alfred vial b1828,,

But when I got a reply from my match he had a completely different child called Frederick o Viall born to the same parents and said my ones were wrong?? Have I got it wrong?? I was wondering if anybody could help me at all try and clear this up as its really bothering me.

I don't think anyone without going over your research can help short term

Why not go back to the person and ask how they came to their results

In the meantime have you looked on Family Search site

Where did you get your info?

Have you done anything to verify it, such as obtaining marriage certs for the children to check the father's details?

None of the sons is with parents in 1841, but that's not surprising, in view of their ages

My note to Chris was to thank her for pointing out that you have another thread about this
