	I don't understand your confusion here. William H marries Sophie in 1898. Beatrice was born 1903. Sophie dies in 1905. William remarries 1910.

	Looks to me as William and Sophia (married 1898) were parents to Beatrice, but only the cert will confirm. Member Since: May 2009 Posts: 303 Send Message	Yes this adds to the confusion. Sophia died in childbirth 1905 with her daughter Mary Ann Cottle in 1905. But this can't be Beatrice's father as she was born 1903. I personally knew some of these people, William Cottle was a brother to my maternal grandmother but I'm having problems getting this bit of family history correct. I may have to look at buying certificates to get to the bottom of it!

Member Since: May 2009 Posts: 303 Send Message	I have a birth registered in Bideford RD Q4 1903 for Beatrice, however I have been unable to find her and her family on the GR 1911 Census. It is likely she was still living in Devon, possibly Welcombe, at the time and I would be grateful if anyone could help me find her please. Many thanks
