Hello Elizabeth, have you tried to trace living descendants of his siblings? Stories are often passed down- they may have more information for you. |

A tree at Ancestry has this as one of his children, they also have the MMN as Agnes Morrison. The child below is shown as dying in 2010 and as they have the full DOD I should think they have the death certificate |

You say he was possibly your father. Is he named on your birth certificate? Did he marry your mother before or after you were born? |

This looks like him heading back to Glasgow. Address he's going to is 433 Crown St. Last permanent residence was USA. He's a machinist, same as on 1930 census. Middle initial is E on original. |

I realise the matter is probably delicate if Ann is looking for her father and it's up to her what she wants to share regards who/where/when. |

Looks like he was actually arriving in Canada en route to USA and he had a middle initial |

But when he arrived in Canada in 1928 he was heading to Detroit, Michigan to join friend, Mr. Robert Bradshaw, 3942 Milpond Ave., Detroit. |

Can anyone please advise how to find a possible marriage in Canada!! All I have to go on is a Robert Stitt aged 24 left the Port of Greenock in March 1928 on the Ship Montrose which went to New Brunswick South East Canada. It says he was an engineer and his address in the UK WAS 260 Crown St Glasgow. He was possibly my father who might have been married when he married my mother. |
