In William's Army records two ages are given for him:

19 yrs 2 months on 29/12/1854, so DOB late Sept or Oct 1835
18 yrs 3 months on 1/01/1855, DOB Oct 1836

Age at death on 1/04/1890, 53, so YOB 1836

POB from Army record - St Johns, Worcester

On his marriage entries, his father is named as John, Labourer.

I think the first one is my William and there is this baptism which ties up with his DOB and POB:

I cannot find either this William or Harriet (for sure) on the 1851. There is a marriage for a Harriet Whatmore in Worcester in 1849, to one of these men (I think I have found them all in 1851) :

Please can anyone find another candidate for the Harriet in the 1841 or find William in the 1851?

I have everything for William after 1855 when he joined the Army, so it is just the 1851 I am looking for.

Jemima Watmore 1787-1852 married Robert hinton 23/12/1819.
They are on 1841 with Harriet and William

Jemima had Harriott Watmore 1809 born Kinlet Shropshire.

Not sure about the 1864 marriage, Mary. Where did the Whatmore come from? familysearch has this:

Looking at the image for the 1841, alviegal, she is Hannah on there too - so not the right family.

Hi Potty, I've deleted them as they're obviously the wrong family. :-)

Strangely, I have found what appears to be the same family twice in the 1841. The one I posted above and the following - also living in St Johns. The transcription is very bad but everything is the same on the image, except that Harriet is shown as Hinton not Whatmore. This family are living at the same address as the Hinton's & John Whatmore in 1851.

On another record she is down as Harriett Everton marrying 1864 to Henry Sylvester born @ 1814.

I think he is on 1881 census as a widow.

??Harriett Selvester died 1866 Martley Worcestershire 6c 133 born @ 1810.

Thanks for those, Chris. The only problem with Jemima is that her POB on the 1851 is Little Barrington, Gloucestershire.
