My grandfather William Norman was born 1873 Newcastle upon Tyne & baptised at St Mary RC cathedral Clayton St West on 7th July 1873.
His parents were Henry Norman & Mary Hall.
He was taken for baptism by his grandmother against the wishes of his parents.
Does anyone have access to the PRs please?
Hoping there might be some extra info in the actual record,eg godparents etc.

Would it be worth contacting the Northumberland Archives to ask if they know where the PR are held? You may find that the Cathedral still has them.

PR's don't usually include records other than CofE

By definition, they are the records of Parish Churches, which can't be RC

Thank you all for your input
I have all the info I need about him & his family. Just want to know if there is any more info on the baptism records,
I am well aware that PRs refer to Cof E records, but as the Catholic church has parishes which keep records, I´m not sure what else ro call them.
I will have a try at the links suggested.
