I'll bet Mike is right and the person just doesn't know how to read the information in the marriages index! ... and isn't closely enough related to actually care, they just wanted names for their tree ...
if somebody has different info it is always wise to double check but often it is a lesson in not trusting family trees on line :-)
when I first started investigating my father's family I only knew who his grandfather was and not who his grandfather's parents were ... I found them in the censuses so I knew their first names, say John and Mary Smith
I found someone who had them in their family tree that gave Mary's surname and thought how lucky I was that someone knew that ... until I started investigating further ...
it turned out that the person whose tree it was, was only 'related' to John and Mary because one of John and Mary's children had married ... well, you know, the fourth cousin three times removed of the person whose tree it was
the person had just picked the first 'John Smith and Mary' marriage they saw in the right neighbourhood and stuck it in their tree ... it was the wrong John and Mary altogether
... and then it took me a year to get the person to fix their tree so others were not equally misled :-)

As Emily & Charles are the first 2 names on the index, the other person has probably assumed they married each other.
As you have the marriage cert I'm surprised you let the other person's tree throw you.

Seagate I would think the other member has just looked at the index and 'picked' a spouse, without buying the certificate ( or posssibly just copied info from someone else's tree ).
I am sure that they will be happy to have the correct details of the marriage :-)

there is only one possible Wills + Cushway marriage in the index, the one I copied above
(edit ... and Rambling Rose has confirmed)
there are no Hatt-Cushway births after 1911
there are these Wills-Cushway births
Births Dec 1915 Wills Albert W Cushway Poplar 1c 758 Births Mar 1920 Wills Reginald H Cushway Camberwell 1d 2134
so it rather looks as if Emily Cushway married Alfred Wills
this could be them in 1911
Name: Emily Wills Age in 1911: 32 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1879 Relation to Head: Mother Gender: Female Birth Place: WALWORTH, England Civil Parish: Poplar County/Island: London Country: England Street address: 50 Appian Rd, Old Ford, Bow Registration district: Poplar Registration District Number: 22 Sub-registration district: Bow ED, institution, or vessel: 26 Piece: 1676
Alfred Wills 33 born Walworth, occupation Hawker Emily Wills 32 Alfred Wills 12 James Wills 7 Emily Wills 5
surely you had a reason for deciding that Emily Cushman married Alfred Wills ...

seagate, if you can see the tree then the person whose tree it is has allowed you to view it, so you are in contact
as Shirley says, have you asked them?
Marriages Sep 1898 Cushway Emily St. Saviour 1d 176 Hatt Charles St. Saviour 1d 176 Passant Alice Maud St. Saviour 1d 176 WILLS Alfred St.Saviour 1d 176
the only way to be positive which bride married which groom is to see the marriage certificate
I'm not seeing any couples in the 1911 census that would seem to establish who married whom
if you would give the details of Emily Cushman that you have and that no one else here knows anything about, so that someone else could search for her in the censuses with a husband, someone might be able to help
no point in saying 'details is the same on my tree' and 'parents match up' when we don't know what those details are or who those parents are, so we can't investigate at all

Why not contact the person and ask if they are the same couple
