Hi
I am stuck. Has anyone news of the above. His son was Edward James Smith born 1877, married Elizabeth Martindale on 23-4-1898. Edward was probably born in East London. Anything relevant would be appreciated.

Have you found Edward on any of the censuses?
With the surname Smith, we need as much information as possible - what children did Edward have?
Thank-you

I had assumed that Raymond had that marriage of Edward and Elizabeth, which was where he had the birth year of 1877, which disagreed with the age in that 1881 census posted. But it would have been useful to state that Leo was a pastrycook when his son married.
Correction: I just checked the image of that census that safc posted - Edward James and Rebecca are not twins, both 0 years in 1881. Rebecca is 1 month and Edward is 3 years.

I only posted the marriage of Edward and Elizabeth in order to highlight the fact that Leo Thomas's occupation was recorded as pastrycook, as it seemed to confirm the material found by safc related to the right family.
