Can anyone help. How does one know if an entry is the one you are looking for if there is more than one in the same name and year.
I am stuck on my tree at Joseph Mead 1766-1844 married to Suzannah Rogers 1769 but now don't have a clue where to go next.

Any help at all will be very much appreciated.

if you click on the image, it shows him living with Susannah ...... it is quite common to find the transcripts showing people in the same hosuehold listed separately!

It is Suhanna on the image


The only other information is that neither Joseph nor Susannah were born in county





we also have to remember that ages on the 1841 Census for people over the age of 15, were rounded down to the nearest 5 .................. so people may be upto 4 years older than shown


so Joseph could have been born between 1761 and 1766


and Susannah between 1767 and 1771

So far, the answer appears to be, No.

Or, at the very most, more investigation into all possibles is required.

Thank you all. I am really impressed with your eagerness to help, only wish I could understand the processes, but will plod on.
Not sure now whether the family hale from Eaton Bray as all that I know about have come from Dunstable
