What I am unsure about is that the cost of bringing her body back to Kent from Surrey in 1949 would have been quite expensive. Although I don't think my grandfather was poor (as he had a car) I don't think he was wealthy. That is what makes me think the burial or cremation might have been nearer to the hospital. Their family ties were to Aldershot and Enfield/Edmonton so I think it is probably more likely to be in one of those areas. They didn't really have family ties to Kent at that time from what I have been able to establish. |
