Hi All,

Yes Nicholas seems to have had two wills, one probated 1618 & the other 1629!

Thanks Andy, I had the 1618 transcript but have since learnt of the second will.

It's all a bit confusing!

the refernence given by Chris:
Will Ladd Nicholas Wootton, Elham (Made)1624 (Probate) 1629 PRC/17/67/166 PRC/16/192 L/2
refers to the second one.

This is the one I thought I had downloaded from Ancestry!!

I don't understand why the will of 1624 isn't showing? I definately saw it this weekend! When I look now , I don't see the dates as I don't have membership.

Nicholas Ladd's will was from 1624, he was buried in Elham, Kent.

Hi Andy

If you put in just Nicholas Ladd with Location Kent, England in "All England & Wales, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Wills, 1384-1858" - Nicholas is the first and only Nicholas in the list.

Hi All

Could someone send me the will of Nicholas Ladd 1624 Kent in Ancestry UK - All England & Wales, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Wills, 1384-1858.

I did download it during the free weekend but something has "happened" to my file!!
