I see on ancestry, that Agnes left a will? maybe consider purchasing that, in case Florence is mentioned? (I'm not sure how you go about it though)
If the Fisher marriage turns out to be correct, there is a Florence M Fisher death in 1936, of the right age

Thanks Potty I had checked on FreeBDM in 2006 and only found one marriage at the time for a Florence POINTON to Henry HAYES in 1913 mid year in Wolstanton, Staffordshire. I will go back and see if I can research the one you mentioned. Thanks

Thanks brummiejan. I will check these out as well. Thanks. How do you find out addresses for people outside of the census. Sorry still learning although have been doing for a while I had a long break from it when my husband died.

Just in passing, in 1912 there is a William Thrustance Bunn (spelt that way on record) living at 32 Park Rd. Sparkhill! Guess a relative, doesn't help you though, obviously.

Hi I have been trying to find my father's birth mother. Her name is/was Florence Mabel POINTON, which is on my father's birth certificate. She was born in June1892 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, Worcestershire as per Birth records in England. Her parents were Edwin POINTON born September 1854 in Kings Norton, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, died in 1909 and Agnes THURSTANCE, DIED 1948. They married in 1878 in Kings Norton, Warwickshire, Worcestershire. Other children were Edwin W, Frederick, May and Violet per the 1901 Census.

My grandmother was still living with her mother and family in the 1911 census. She had my father, Cyril, on 26th June 1912. The address on his birth certificate is 32 Park Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham, in the district of Solihull, in the counties of Birmingham. There is no father listed and her occupation is a toy shop assistant. She kept my father until he was 18 months old and he was given/passed to Beatrice Lily Holloway and her husband Philip around the December of 1913 to raise. They were living in Warwickshire, Birmingham as well. His Christian name was never changed from Cyril.

There is no further record of Florence Mabel POINTON that I can find from this time. I can find no marriage, death or record of her leaving the country.

Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated as I would love to know if I have any blood relatives on my father's side of the family as I am drawing a blank. A cousin, uncle or aunt would be lovely.
