Find Ancestors

Thank you for finding a death for Bridget Snr in 1882 Northwich. It does seem to be Bridget Snr. As you say the death certificate should hopefully give more information, if it does say who her husband was.

My heading refers to daughter Bridget Fahey. as she is the one I am tryiing to find before her marriage to Patrick Hughes and the only mention of her being born in Galway was in the 1891 census, husband Patrick Hughes also shown as born in Galway who I am also trying to find before the marriage.

A check of Free BMD shows a death for a Bridget Fahey aged 71 Reg Northwich 1882.that may well be Bridget snr. I shouldn't get to hung up on the ages listed on the Census they were often way out as were those on other Registrations ..people often didn't know how old they really were.Only by getting that death Cert will you be able to confirm it was Bridget snr. that should give her Husbands name and her maiden name.
There was1 other Fahey family in the area of Great Budworth Martin Fahey..whether he was a brother of Bridget Fahey Hughes I don't know but its worth looking at...
Where does "Bridget Fahey of Donegal" in your heading come from...does that refer to Bridget .snr.?

Event Type: Baptism Event Date: 18 Jan 1876. What is the English equivalent?
I thought it might be John but according to the 1871 census Patrick & Bridget had a son John born Ireland in 1859, I suppose he could have died and they named the latter child John.

Jacobus Hughes Event Type: BaptismEvent Date: 20 Mar 1869. Would the English name be James?

If I have the correct family then it fills in the gaps between the births of the children shown on the 1871 census .

Unfortunately, the censu does not show where in galway Patrick Hughes & wife bridget were born and that is what I really need to try and find their parents.

Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Patrick Hughes born c 1829 Galway married Bridget Fahey born 1839 and had children John born 1859 Ireland, Patrick born 1861 Ireland, Bridget born 1865 Northwich Cheshire, Mary born 1867 Northwich Cheshire, Catherine(Kate) born 1873 Northwich Cheshire.

on the 1871 census Bridget (Married) & children living in Leftwich Cheshire. Bridget's mother also called Bridget a widow born b1790 was living with her. Patrick is with the family in Leftwich on 1881, 1891. By 1901 Patrick is a widower living with daughter Kate Birtles in Preesall Lancashire.

I am trying to find Patrick & Bridget's marriage and their dates and places of birth and where they were living before 1871.

Can anyone help please
