Here's Mary with her family. Her marriage was in 2nd quarter 1851 so would imagine she was the dairy maid. Who would Mary Salter, daughter in law be, I wonder.

daughter-in-law, at that time, often meant step-daughter


so daughter of Mary Eastwood from before she married William


Interesting that they then named their own child Mary after their marriage.
