Yes that is the Mary I am looking for and I did get her name from her daughter Jane's birth certificate I did wonder if perhaps they had never married or she may have been married before Thank you for your help regards Kathleen

Someone on Ancestry has Mary Ann Hoppins with those dates on Ancestry having children with a Benjamin Darby. There doesn't appear to be evidence of marriage so I presume the Hoppins name has come from her children's birth certificate?

In 1841 they were living Common, Netteswell, Essex with children Jane 3, and Jesse 1.

Is this the Mary you are looking for?

Just did a search on that site and there was only one church in latton and it looks to have quite a few records

Someone may have a sub and will be able to look it up for you....but I do not know of anyone at present

Not seeing a birth for her but not a lot of Essex records are on the commercial or free sites.

If there is one you may find it on Seax.....but it is a subscription site
