	I have the F.T.M. on my pc how do I transfer it to my laptop please

	if its a new laptop then you may find 2006 version isnt compatble I bought a new laptop a few months ago with windows 7 on it and FTM2006 version isnt compatble. I bought FTM 2012 version and installed that on the laptop then had the option to download my tree that was on Ancestry to it The clever thing is it adapted the tree to the 2012 version as it downloaded it . I dont know if it would work the same way you saved your 2006 to a memory stick and then uploaded it after installing the later FTM disc

	O dear I have windows 8 on my laptop so I wont be able to transfer it as I am not updating F.T.M thanks for the advice joyce
